March Rally Results

Seventeen teams entered Cascade Sports Car Club’s first event in the 2024 Saturday Rally Series on March 23. Rallymasters Cody and Sabrina Garvin’s second rallymaster endeavor – River Run – gave us a scenic drive along rivers and waterways in Clark and Skamania counties, ending in Woodland, Washington. The 110-mile route took about three and a half hours to complete.

The top finishers in each class received a car wash coupon, a Dutch Bros coffee card, and candy. As always, the taste of victory is sweet. Congratulations!

April 20 Saturday Series Rally

The next Cascade road rally is April 20. Rallymasters Monte and Victoria Saager deliver a fun event starting at Milwaukie Lowe's and ending in Estacada. After heading south, the rally route crosses Willamette Valley farmland and continues east into the foothills of the Cascades. The 100-mile course takes about three hours to complete, including a mid-rally break. This is a lightly challenging event with some simple rally puzzles. Follow the instructions to get to the ending location. Expect variety and beautiful scenery.

The April rally is the second of six in the Saturday Road Rally Series. Teams who run three or more of the six rallies are eligible for Series Awards.

Cascade Sports Car Club's Road Rally program (aka Cascade Geargrinders) offers beginner-friendly time-speed-distance road rallies, lasting three to four hours, starting and ending in the Portland area. These events are open to club members and non-members, and to all types of vehicles. Road rally is a game you play while going for a drive in the country.
