2026 CSCC ROAD RALLY SEASON

 
Ghouls Gambol Rally Results

Seventeen teams entered Cascade’s October 31 Ghouls Gambol rally. Spookmasters Monte and Victoria Saager conjured up more than a few ghosts from the glorious past of Cascade’s traditional Halloween event. This 60th anniversary of Ghouls Gambol explored less traveled fun to drive roads, through autumn-lit scenery. Add a hatful of tricks and traps, and that was the 2026 Ghouls Gambol Rally.

And that’s a wrap on 2026 

Congratulate the winners of the 2026 Saturday Rally Series (see link above). The top three drivers and navigators in each competition category received Rally Series Awards at the Ghouls Gambol Rally.

The top club rally champions will be honored at the club’s annual awards event on Dec. 5. Club rally champions will be announced in the December Geargrinders News.

Stay tuned for news about Cascade Geargrinders 2027 Road Rally Season. Plan for the season to start in February with Rally School. We expect six Saturday Series rallies with a Saturday Series competition. Mountains to the Sea will most likely be in May. And the season will end with Ghouls Gambol on the last Saturday in October.

If you have input about what you’d like to see in the 2027 season, send it our way. If you want to volunteer to help sustain the rally program, contact us. This program belongs to those who participate in it. You will decide the future of Cascade Geargrinders.

Rally School  - Start the season with a virtual review of TSD road rally rules and procedures on Friday evening. Then run a practice road rally on Saturday to test your driving skills and navigational knowledge.

Saturday Rally Series - Compete for Series awards. Best five of six finishes count toward Series points. To be eligible to win a season award, run at least three Series events.

Mountains to the Sea - Enjoy this 61st anniversary of Cascade's full-day tour-style rally, offering a fun to drive scenic route, starting in Portland and ending at the Pacific Ocean.

Ghouls Gambol - Cascade's Halloween-themed road rally explores autumn colored foothills and farmland along scenic country roads. This fun road rally takes about 3 hours to complete, with first team starting at 10:01 a.m. Halloween morning. Expect treats and maybe some tricks. Prizes for rally winners and best decorated cars.

Entry Fee:

All rallies except Mountains to the Sea:

$25 per team for CSCC members
$35 per team for non-members

Mountains to the Sea:

$60 per team for CSCC members
$85 per team for non-members

Save with a Series Pass. $150. Includes entry in Rally School and all six Saturday Series rallies. Register just once to enter all seven events. Run the same car number with the same start time at each rally. Available to CSCC members only. CSCC membership is available online.

Save more with a Season Ticket. $210 for a 9-event season ticket. Includes all benefits and events in the Series Pass, plus entry in Mountains to the Sea and Ghouls Gambol. Available to members only.  CSCC membership is available online.


2026 Cascade Geargrinders road rallies:

Cascade Geargrinders road rallies are beginner friendly time-speed-distance events, starting and ending in the Portland area. Rallies are about 100 miles long and take three to four hours to complete. First car starts at 10:01 a.m.

Online registration is required: MotorsportReg.com.

An entry team consists of a street-legal vehicle, a licensed and insured driver, a navigator, and a smart device (cell phone or tablet) running the Competitor Richta GPS Checkpoints app (app is free).

Rallies are conducted in accordance with the current Road Rally Rules.
