Mountains to the Sea – May 10
Join us for the 60th anniversary of Cascade Sports Car Club’s classic time-speed-
distance road rally, Mountains to the Sea.
The rally route offers fun-to-drive roads, beautiful scenery, a ferry crossing, and a Monte Carlo finish at the Rogue Brewers on the Bay in Newport, Oregon.
Mountains to the Sea is a tour-style event with an easy-to-follow route. Route directing instructions are accompanied by official mileage. Checkpoints are identified in the route instructions. A GPS app tracks checkpoint arrival and time of day restart times.
Speeds are set at or below legal speed limits. Pauses are provided as needed. The approximately 200-mile route takes about 7 hours to complete, including transits and breaks.

$60 per team for CSCC members
$85 per team for non-members
Entry team includes a street-legal vehicle, a licensed and insured driver, a navigator, and a smart device (e.g., cell phone or tablet) running the Competitor Richta GPS Checkpoints app (app is free).
What to expect:
Friday morning before the rally, registered teams receive the Route Instructions for the rally. At a Q&A Zoom meeting Friday evening, rally officials answer questions and provide clarifying information.
On Saturday morning, teams arrive at the start location and begin the rally by leaving the start marker at their assigned start time. Teams continue following the instructions to the finish location. The rally includes breaks and a lunch transit through Independence.
At the finish, a room is reserved in the Rogue Brewers restaurant for Mountains to the Sea participants. Soon after all teams have completed the rally, results will be announced and prizes awarded, probably starting by 6 pm.

First team finishes: 4:50 pm approx.
Results and prizes: 6 pm approx.
